Sue Dorman

Sue has given my training purpose. She has been able to set training goals and programmes that suit the type of person I am, while taking into consideration my priorities and commitments.

Sue has been involved in the Health and Fitness sector for the last 20 years both as a fitness professional and coach. She has a degree in Recreation Sport Management and has attained the Triathlon NZ Level 1 coaching qualification, she is currently working toward Level 2 certification. Sue’s triathlon career started back in 2002 with a woman’s only event and from there she has gone on to compete in two Ironman races along with representing New Zealand in both the ITU World Championships for Long Course and Standard Distance Triathlon. Sue has also competed in many half Ironman events in New Zealand and overseas.

She believes having personally competed in events from Sprint through to Ironman distance has given her the knowledge and experience to coach an athlete simply wanting to give triathlon a go and also those wanting to be competitive.

Sue currently works as an Operations Manager for the Unitec Sports Centre.  She teaches several classes per week and has a very strong and positive client base.
